De Martino Single Vineyard Carmenere 2005 - the lost grape of france-- not merlot but more like a cab franc, De Martino is turning out some of the best wines from the luscious southern soils... unfortunately its pretty hard to find in chile because so much is exported... of all the carmenere's i've had, this is what i get for friends back in the states.. como vino para chocolate, with nice hints of coffee, fluid and silky like the maipo river, from french oak barrels... as the great chilean poet pablo neruda wrote: Wine color of day, wine...
