Brokenwood Semillon 2004 - The 2004 Semillon is luminous green/yellow with lifted zesty lemongrass aromas and sweet apple blossom characters. Initial lime plus cut grass flavors combine with a fruit dominant palate and typical tight structure with citrus acid finish. The perfect balance of fruit, alcohol and minerality combine for a seamless finish.

Brokenwood Semillon 2005 - The 2005 is the 24th vintage of Brokenwood Semillon and a release always worth celebrating. Looking back at the previous vintages, it appeared that the vintage was heading the same direction as 2004 with scorching heat (but thankfully no fires) in the Valley. However, these were fine, dry conditions giving excellent citrus Semillon characters. Harvesting was done by hand. The fruit was crushed, chilled and pressed immediately. Only stainless steel, no oak and no malolactic fermentation.

Golan Heights Smadar Sauvignon-Semillon 1999 - The Golan Smadar exhibits characters of citrus and tropical fruits, fresh flowers and ripe apples. The wine is medium-bodied with just a tad of sweetness. The finish is crisp and refreshing. While ready to drink when released, Golan Smadar will hold up well over a couple of years, if stored well. We like to drink it as an aperitif, with casual food at outdoor concerts, or with spicy food, such as Hunan.

Hogue Fruit Forward Semillon 1999 - HOGUES 1999 Semillon has aromas of dried apricot, lychee, spice, rose petal and tangerine. The palate offers similar flavors, a slight herbal note, round mouthfeel and a crisp finish. Semillon is one of the winemaking teams favorite white wines, due in large part to its compatibility with a wide range of foods. Try this wine with delicate seafood such as grilled oysters or steamed clams; sushi is a great match, too.

Hogue Semillon 1997 - Hogues 1997 Semillon has aromas of toasty oak, dried fig, vanilla, pear and talc. Round and soft on the palate, the wine has flavors of fig and toasted pear, with a slight tangerine accent on the crisp finish. Typical of Semillon made from grapes grown in eastern Washington state, this one has good structure and viscosity. Its flavor profile and weight will match nicely with grilled foods, especially seafood, and most chicken dishes, including those with rich cream- or butter-based sauces.

Knappstein-Lenswood Semillon 1998 - The wine displays pronounced citrus and lemongrass notes with just a hint of melon. Sitting a layer below is some toasty oak and bacon fat. All of these characters blend nicely together to create a complex wine that shows plenty of fresh fruit. The finish is tinder dry. The acid is quite high and will help the wine develop with time in the bottle.

Mitchell Semillon 2002 - Subtle French oak handling - both during fermentation and initial aging - serves to complement the stylishly tangy fruit in this wine. The palate is clean, fresh and with crisp acidity. A good balance of ‘lemony’ Semillon fruit flavour, harmonised with dimension of intrigrated oak on the middle palate. Mitchell Semillon is easily approachable when young and with 2–5 years of cellaring develops the butter and straw characters which are typical of high quality aged Semillon.
