Good selection, great prices, good shipping speed. BUT - if problems come up that can't be answered with a single email, don't expect them to ever get resolved. I was overcharged, and have been dealing with getting it remedied for a week now. Every call to teh toll-free is useless, they say they can't do anything except forward to the Italian headquarters, and they don't reply. There is no way to email their HQ directly, or to phone them directly. They're fine as long as no mistakes are made, but if they are, the way their customer service is set up is a miserable failure. UPDATE: a day after writing this, I called again to confirm my refunds had in fact been processed, as the agent had told me 3 days prior. It turns out they still have not done it, despite what the agent told me. SO now, you can add dishonest to the list of problems with their customer service. |

Return policy sorta sucks. Clothing quality is great. However you can't exchange merchandise and they charge you an $8 fee for processing returns. In essence you are paying around $15 if you make another order and, "receive an exchange." Many other companies offer exchanges for free as long as you pay for the shipping cost of sending the item back to them. |

I purchased several times from YOOX.com.
They are completely flawless and I even don't need to call them. (There is no problem to be solved. Really great!) |

I was looking desperately for some designer jeans and was referred to YOOX from a forum with everyone raving about previous experiences.
I found a pair of Diesel jeans for a very good price on the YOOX website so decided to go for it.
First let me say that their website is not exactly the most user friendly on the planet. I am a designer and it took me a little while to figure out what was going on in some instances. Also the descriptions of products are not very consistant, some have model names while others don't and that further confused me.
That aside I eventually found my product, added to my cart, and purchased the item which was painless enough.
The product was purchased on 1/30/06 but I was left guessing for the never several days while I waited for anything in my email box. Several people who purchased before me said the first order may take time as they have to process your info so I gave them some slack. The product wasn't processed and shipped until 2/6/06 which of my many purchases over the internet is a LONG time to go from initial purchase to ship.
The product was shipped to me fast however and arrived in 3 days after I received confirmation. The product was well packaged and in plastic wrap in a very nice box. I guess I sort of expected that as much as these jeans cost me.
Overall I'd say I am satisfied and cut some slack because it being my first order. I still feel the website is confusing but I will not factor that in the rating. Will do business again if they offer a product that no one else offers for a good price. |

Yoox is great in terms of the product.
Yoox is the worst company I have ever dealt with in terms of customer service.
I returned some items to them, with the promise from their phone rep that the return would be processed within 3 biz days.
I gave them 5 days, and called to check in. I was told it had not been processed, but would be that day. I called the next day and they said it had been processed, and refunded back. The next day I called to confirm, and they told me it had not been processed the previous day, but had been that day.
I gave them another 4 biz days, assuming they told me the truth, and then called to check in again. It has still not been processed as of today - despite multiple reps having told me it had been done many days prior.
Aside from the dishonesty, their customer service system is useless. The phone number reaches a new jersey office, where all they can do is take your info and email it to the 'head office' in italy. There is no way to contact the 'head office' directly.
After a dozen angry calls and emails, I received a call from someone at the head office - in the middle of the night. I missed the call, and they left a voicemail with no callback number. And calls back to the US number only leave you with the option to send another email through the rep. Their "customer service" is nothing more than an answering service.
I have spent - literally - tens of thousands of dollars with yoox in the past few years. And the way they repay this is to treat the customer like garbage, and outright lie about status of returns.
There are enough other options now for online shopping, that I will take my money elsewhere rather than deal with this again. And I would advise anyone who may need to return an item to do the same. |
