I've ordered from Zappos quite a few times, and I would easily order from them again. Every time I've ordered, they've been able to ship overnight when I've only paid for standard delivery. I'm sure they do that with everyone, since it generates good feelings toward their store, but if it means I get my shoes in a day or two, that's fine by me.
Great selection, fast delivery, and super-easy returns if necessary. I had to return a pair of shoes for not fitting right, and it was no problem whatsoever. I don't even bother going to brick and mortar shoe stores anymore. |

I found some very cute shoes for my girlfriend. The price seemed a little high, but Zappos was the only online vendor to have them. I chose the free shipping and they were dispatched by UPS. For some reason, Zappos upgraded me to two day shipping, for free. However, the shoes did not arrive in two days. I checked the UPS tracking online, and discovered they were delivered two hours before I checked. Funny, no shoes here. Calls to UPS were fruitless. I informed Zappos of the situation, and they bent over backwards for me. They even re-shipped the shoes by Fedex Overnight, free of charge. Now, a month later, the original order of shoes magically appears Sunday morning on my mailbox. I guess the recipient thought they should deliver them to the right place. I call up Zappos, and they say I don't need to bother with returning the shoes. I insist to ship them back at my cost, but they say it is fine, keep them. Maybe I will donate them to a good cause. I am one impressed and happy Zappos customer. |

I ordered a pair of Florsheim Men's shoes at 12:10 p.m. on April 1st 2004 and the Fed EX delivery man dropped the off at my home in Cleveland at 12:10 p.m. today April 2nd. I love the free shipping (both ways if you need to return something). I ordered a pair of closed-toe Crocs. The price was a little bit higher (before shipping) than other places, but the free shipping more than made up for price difference. I ordered some specialty rollerblades (5 wheels, low boot) from Zappo's; it was my first time ordering there. Well I found the low cuff uncomfortable and the 5 wheels made steering impossible, so I packed them back up and returned them, using Zappo's oh-so-convenient pre-printed return labels. Shipping was free and they refunded my money when they got them.
Now I'm going to buy more conventional rollerblades from Zappo's. They ship quickly and their return policy is awesome; highly recommended.
UPDATE: The other rollerblades arrived today, literally two days after I ordered them, even though I chose standard shipping. For some reason they used 2nd-day air instead. No complaints here! |

This is another order in fact. The one place on December 29th was received in two days. In fact I had to chane the shoe size on the pair of shoes, and Zappos did a shipment of the new size before I even sent back the original pair.
I really like their customer service. No hassle whatsoever. All I had to do was let them know I wanted to do an exchange, printout my return UPS label, and that's it. |

2) *Excellent* customer service; I shop a lot online and this is without doubt the best store I have encountered with regard to response times and problem resolution.
3) 365 day return policy : if the shoe doesn't fit; just return it; they provide pre-paid usps/ups labels online.
4) Free shipping; often upgraded to free next day shipping.
5) Returned 1 pair that was too small without any problems.
6) I also had no problem returning another pair that actually started falling apart, what's more I received an email from Zappos apologizing for the shoes that were defective, along with a 30% discount coupon.

Zappos.com has a bad attitude with regards to customer support. I tried to place another order and their system was down, it wasn't accepting any credit cards. When I called to inform them, they rudely told me that there is no way it was their system, but rather that I should call my bank.
There was no problem with any of my credit cards but I called my bank anyway and they verified that everything was fine with my credit cards.
When I called Zappos back, by then they woke up and got a clue, admitting to me that indeed they had a problem with their credit card processing system.
I hate Zappos.com's attitude of automatically blaming their own customers for a problem which was in actuality their own. They wouldn't even consider the possibility that they were experiencing a problem on their end, instead telling me that it was my problem and not theirs. When I asked them to check to see if they were experiencing any problems on their end, they should have admitted that there might have been a problem on their end and then look into it.
I have a real problem with a company falsely blaming their own customers like this, it's plain wrong. |

First time using Zappos. Found the running shoes I wanted, but they were $30 cheaper on another site. I noticed that Zappos had a 110% price guarantee, so I called their customer support line. They asked me to give them the address for the cheaper site and in a few seconds they verified the price and sold me the shoes for the lower price plus gave me the 110% difference -discount. They then said they would upgrade me to two day shipping. The next day(Monday) I received an E-mail with the tracking info and a note saying that they upgraded me to overnite shipping. I received the shoes on Tuesday, in perfect condition. What more could you ask for? In addition, Zappos sent a return voucher with the order, saying I had 365 days to return the shoes, no questions asked. (so long as they had not been worn - absolutely amazing.) I purchased a pair of shoes during a 'free shipping' special. The order got upgraded to next-day shipping for free, and I received the shoe on the following afternoon.
The manufacturer's size turned out to be larger than what I wanted, so I returned the shoes. This involved printing out a UPS return label, slapping it on the original box and dropping it off at the nearest UPS pickup. Entirely hassle free, no additional expense incurred.
The return was processed without hassle, and I have since reordered a smaller size shoe from Zappos.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed. Certainly one of the best online retailers I've had the pleasure of dealing with. |

Prior to my first visit to Zappos.com, the thought of buying shoes online seemed like it would be more of a hassle than it was worth. I mean, what if it doesn't fit? What would I do then? (I must also mention I was never one of those people who own 100 pairs of shoes, and coordinate outfits with clothes and whatnot. I usually rely on 2 pairs of shoes until they bite the dust, then the toil of finding new shoes begins.)
After hearing rave reviews about Zappos' FREE and not to mention supefast shipping, and that returns were free (THEY pay the shipping for YOUR returns!) I thought I would see if they had any shoes I would like just so I could try out their service.
That was a bad idea. They have a massive selection of shoes. You would find only a fraction of styles at your local mall (I hate malls).
Want Mary Jane style shoes? Type in Mary Jane in the search engine and every type of shoe that falls into that category pops up.
Find a pair of cute shoes but have no idea how they fit? People who've bought the shoes rate how they fit (if the width was too narrow, if you should buy a half size up, etc) and you can read their review of the comfort and style of that particular shoe.
I once ordered a pair of shoes mistaking it for another pair I was eyeing, and immediately realized my mistake after sending the order. I promptly emailed (yea yea, I should have called but I'm lazy, okay) and asked if they could remove the shoe from my order.
Now, if this had been some other store, I KNOW I would have gotten back the canned response, "Sorry Cust# 123243423, You order has already shipped..." but Zappos not only took the shoe out of my order, the person who replied to my email was actually very nice and upgraded my shipping to 2-day. I was amazed at the fact that an actual person typed a response to me, instead of sending me a generic form letter and tacking their name at the bottom (which a lot of online stores do, and which makes me think they are all run by robots).
Every pair of shoes I've bought have been delivered straight to my door the morning the day after. Seriously.
I once had to return a pair (it was too small), and all I had to do was fill out a small form on the website and print out a return label. I stuck it on the box, headed over to usps.com and requested a package pickup. It_was_that_easy.
Now, my only complaint about Zappos is that it turned me into a total shoe buying addict! Kidding of course. They are the BEST place to buy shoes online, I've recommended them to countless people. |

They sent shoes with free shipping at 2 day priority. The shoes were the wrong size in the box and I emailed their customer care. They immediately responed, sent out another pair priority without charging my credit card and sent me a free return label. I've ordered from zappos five times now over the past three years. That includes at least ten pairs of shoes, several of which I've returned. I've never had a problem -- every transaction has gone smooth and quick. I've never paid a shipping charge in either direction. I live in a neighboring state and I've received most of my orders the next day via UPS ground.
Zappos' shoe selection is really good. My wife and I have found several unique styles that we don't see at local stores. Zappos' website is also easy to search and browse.

I ordered an Oakley backpack from Zappos on 1/24/05. I was a bit leary about spending this much on a backpack from an online dealer, but figured I would try them out. I ordered it and picked the free ground shipping. I was in no rush to get this, but couldn't wait for it to arrive. On 1/25, I got an email saying they had upgraded my shipping for free, and I should expect it in 1-2 days instead of 4-5. I decided to check the tracking number for the heck of it, and imagine my suprise to see that it was on its way on the UPS truck, out for delivery. I ordered this at 3pm or so on 1/24, and expect to get it in less than 24 hours, and all with free shipping.

Many companies and stores have a goal to get "loyalty" from their customers. Pesonally, I just always look for the best deal and couldn't care less what store it's from as long as it gets a decent rating on this site.
Zappos is the only exception I can think of. They're so good, they make me want to buy shoes just so I can order from them. Their customer service just amazes me. Their shipping is fast and free, returns are easy and also free, and they'll go out of their way to accomodate you when you contact them about something.
The prices on their site are average, and that's the only thing average about Zappos. BUT - they offer a "110% Price Guarantee" which means that their pricing is the best you can get as long as you take them up on their offer. I ordered a pair of shoes this morning from Zappos and then emailed them a link to a site selling them for about $11 less. Most sites would probably look for some way to get out of their price guarantee. With Zappos I already got a reply that they've credited my account for about $17 and upgraded my shipping to 2-day for free!
Can't say enough things about this store - there is a reason they have a rating of 10, and it ought to be 20 if that were possible. |

I have found Zappos to be an excellent company to do business with. I ordered a pair of shoes on 12/31/04 with standard shipping. On 1/3/05, they notified me that they had given my order special priority processing. My shoes arrived the next day on 1/4/05.
Also, I ended up returning the shoes to them, and they provided free return shipping. I think this is a sign of a very classy establishment.
I will definitely do business again with Zappos in the future. You don't find too many places with this level of service anymore. |

If they can maintain this level of quality then I�ll probably never buy shoes at a retail store again.
I think a lot of eTailers have forgotten how much loyalty, word-of-mouth advertising, and return business can be created by just making your customers happy.

I tryied to buy Teva Bigwall shoes from shoeshonline.com, since they had them for $10 less price. They notified me that my order will be shipped in 17 days. Canceled that order and went for Zappos. I'm just excited about these guys now.
First, got the aforementioned $10 difference discount by Zappos 110% money guard garantee, then got free shipping (in fact, all orders shipping is free on zappos) and in couple hours got the message, that my shoes were alredy packed and shipped.Moreover, Zappos gave me free upgrade to 2 Business Days shipping. Wow, what the nice surprize! Arrived as promised, all new and in perfect condition. It's a pity I don't need more shoes now - I want to shop here again! |

I ordered sandals from this merchant on March 10th via standard shipping (4-8 days). Later that day, I received an e-mail from them stating that they were upgrading my shipping to next day. True to their word, I received my sandals the next day (the 11th) at noon, everything in perfect order. Very fast!! Then I happened to see that another website had the sandals at a lower price, so I filled out Zappos on-line price protection form, wondering if they would honor it. The following day I received an e-mail that they verified the lower cost and were refunding me 110 percent of the difference. Awesome! I will definitely use this merchant again for purchases. They have tons of merchandise and provided one of the best on-line experiences I've had to date. |

Superfast. I actually got an email in under 1 second from when I clicked submit, tracking order was sent the same day and was shipped out. They offer good guarantees and you can return items shipping included if anything is wrong which is almost unheardof on the internet.

WOW the fastest shipping from anything I've ever ordered over the internet. Actually ordered during the afternoon and product was upgraded to overnight shipping free of charge and received the next mid morning. Incredible. Product was well packaged with bubble wrap as well.

Without a doubt, the best return policy I have encountered on the Web.
They pay return shipment, and they honor returns of unused items for (as I recall) up to a year. I tried a pair of shoes from them, found they did not have the right feel, put them aside for over 2 months before getting around to returning them. As they were unused, they were accepted without explanation, and refund was immediate.
This kind of service overcomes the problems of shopping on the Web for items like shoes or clothing. |

By far this is the best online store ever. I�ve been an online shopper for more than 5 years, and shopping for shoes on the web was definitely out of the question just for the fact that you can�t try them on. However, this changed the minute I found Zappos.com. I found their website one day when I was looking for a pair of boots that I couldn�t find at any of the local malls. At first I was a little skeptical; free shipping, free returns, competitive prices, great variety, it sounded too good to be true; but what the heck, I�m an online shopper so I went ahead and purchased my pair of boots. Well, everything went smooth, and after two days I got my shoes, I was like �Already!!!� I was really amazed. That was about two months ago, and last Monday I went back looking for a pair PUMAs, after browsing for a while I found the ones that I liked and paid for them right away. WOW, they arrived on Wednesday; they actually upgraded my shipping at no charge just like my first order. The shoes felt a little tight, but that�s nobody�s fault, it happens. I called them up and explained what happened, the customer service rep was very nice and helpful, and guided me through the process of returning for a refund, she also recommended to buy the same shoes but a size bigger to make things faster, so I bought another pair on Wednesday night, and guess what, they notified me that they upgraded my shipping again, and that the shoes should be here Friday. Outstanding in every aspect, bye, bye local mall. |

Zappos has some of the best customer service I have ever seen. I had problems with a pair of shoes. I sent them back and before they got them they issued me a refund plus gave me a $30 gift certificate to use with my next purchase. That is the best customer service I have ever seen. I bought a pair of basketball shooes and they were too big, so I went on the Zappos site to look for an exchange policy. Surprisingly they do not have one, so I had to email them asking them if they could make an exchange. As I did not want to go thru the whole ordeal of placing a new order and getting it price matched again. They simply said, give use the style number of the shoe, and we'll make an exchange. And they shipped it for FREE overnight!! I'm gonna shop here again for sure! |

Great selection of shoes. Too bad you can't try them on before you buy, but they offer free shipping in both directions, which is great in case you don't like the shoes/don't fit... etc. Shoes came fairly quickly ( <1 week). Didn't like the boots I had purchased, so I was able to quickly set up a return by printing a return label off their website. Thanks for the great shopping experience and I'll look no further next time I need shoes. |

I would like to start off by saying how fast this order was completed. I ordered on August 4 at 11:30 PM and it was shipped in the morning. I only paid for 3 day service instead of the free 4-5 day, but to my surprise my order was shipped 2nd day mail and they even sent me a emial stating this is what they have done. FOR FREE !! Anyways my shoes arrived on the 6th (in the early afternoon). I would highly reccomend Zappos to anyone !! |

This online vendor is unbelievable, but in a great way! I ordered a pair of their designer color Sorel Women's Caribou boots on December 27th, and very late at night. Not only was Zappos over $10 less expensive than anywhere I could find the boots, they had free UPS ground shipping as well.
I was notified very quickly with an order confirmation on the 27th also, and within several hours, I was sent an email stating that they had upgraded the free shipping to 2nd-day at no charge .... OMG, freaking awesome ... I received a tracking email today, and the UPS site showed the delivery date was actually set for the 29th, so I wasn't expecting the boots for at least another day.
Well, UPS just dropped them off, on the 28th, the day after I ordered them!!! The boots look great, and I'm sure Mom will enjoy them like she has with her original Caribou boots for the last 8 years. This is the way you wish all online vendors treated their customers, and it's no wonder why Zappos should score a perfect 10!

I ordered boots from Zappos after seeing other stores were out of my size and color. Right now they have a free shipping deal. I went with that option and expected 4-5 days like it said. However shortly after placing my order I recieved an email saying that I was given Next Day Air shipping for no additional cost. This was my first order with them!! So after buying it around 5:00 pm Thursday I recieved it at 11:30 am on Friday. This was coming from Kentucky to Michigan.
I have ordered from many online stores but this was the one I was so impressed with I had to praise them. (Of course they don't always upgrade your shipping for free). |

After reading all of the feedback on Zappos, I thought it was a bit fishy that Zappos has all "very satified" customers. It seemed too good to be true. But everywhere I looked on the web, it was the same, so I decided to give them a try.
WOW! From the time I submitted my order to the time I received it was less than 24 Hours! - and I live three states away! I don't have any other experience with them, but they are very responsive in the shipping department! Zappos prices were slightly higher than other online vendors for the product I purchased. |
