Great website and great deal on Ipods. WE Love the Ipods, and after searching around they were a little bit cheaper with Free shipping. All I have is praise for this company. I can't say that everything with my order went perfect, but sometimes it's how a business reacts to problems that really shows you how good they are. I ordered a 60" Sont TV from Vanns. I was a little nervous about ordering such a "large ticket" item from an website (especially since I live in NY and the business is in MT!), but I saw their price, read their reviews, and decided to take a chance. They had the TV for $300 less than I could get it here (not count sales tax!), plus free shipping, AND no interest/no payments for 2 years! I ordered on a saturday, and by Monday I got info that it would be here on friday (6 days!). Unfortunately, when the truck arrived on Friday the driver told me that I probably would not want the accept. The box had been crush ed to the point where it was split open in two places. I refused delivery and then called Vanns. They apologied for the problems and treated me very politely. They said that they showed another TV in stock and it would probably shipout Monday, but that since the next week was thanksgiving week, I probably would not get it until after thanksgiving. Add to that, the next day I get my first Vanns credit card statement and it says that I have to make payments. I called Vanns on Monday morning, and the person there again treated very nicely, apologies, and said that she would lok into it right away. I got an e-mail from her by the end of the day saying that she took care of the problem and my purchase was not under the no payment/no interest promo. By friday of that week I still did not have tracking info on the TV, so I went to the Vans website to get their phone number and noticed that the price of the TV had dropped $300! I called them, told them I had not recieved the tracking info yet and thast the price had dropped before I even got my tv. The operator said she would do some checking and get back to me right away. she called me back within 30 minutes with the tracking info (the TV would be here Monday) and told me that they would be crediting me back the $300! On Monday the TV arrived without a scratch and the picture is amazing. I can't say enough good thing about how I was treated but their customer service. Each one I talked made me feel like they were very concerned and wanted to help me resolve any problem. I will definately order from them again (I wish they would build a store in NY!). Very good experience!!


Due to a confusion in the item desciption, the product I ordered did not have the features I wanted. The Vanns survice support answered the phone on the second ring and were very helpful. They readily agreed to a return, and I had the return authorization labels within 10 minutes. I would certainly shop here again.

I ordered a Panasonic FZ20, first transaction with Vanns. Being from Montana, I was happy to support a local company, even though I've been in the military for 15 years and all over the world. I ordered on the phone and everyone was curteous and helpful. After placing the order, I realized that I had wanted to select a more speedy method of delivery. I called back and Jen was extremely helpful. The only negative I can report is that my goal was to receive the camera before the weekend. Jen stated that the method of shipment I had selected would lead to a Friday delivery. However, the camera was shipped a day later and didn't arrive until Monday. However, it was exactly as described. I originally selected Vanns because they are an authorized Panasonic dealer, selling items with a USA warranty. I could have gotten the camera cheaper at other stores, but felt stongly about the warranty


I was recently looking for a GPS system. I found one that met my requirements that was on sale from buy.com. When I was researching the going online price for this system, I ran across Vanns (of whom I had heard, but never purchased from before). They had it for, like twice the price that buy.com listed it. I also noted Vann's Price Match policy, conspicuously posted on their website. So, (mostly to see if these guys were bogus, or not), I called them up. Like the previous poster, I was refused a price match. In my case, they didn't even bother with the "authorized reseller" excuse. I was told that their policy was an "if we choose to" sort of thing, and that buy.com's price was a lot better than they could do, so I should buy it there (which, in fact, I did). I wasn't treated impolitely, or anything, but I can't help but wonder what businesses are thinking when they employ these kinds of tactics. Nobody's got a gun to their heads, forcing them to price match at all, so why advertise something that they will virtually never honor. They don't have to say, "If you have to ask how much it is, you don't need to look here" (although that may not be bad advice, either), but they could just state that they don't price match internet prices, and eliminate bad customer shopping experiences.


I shop around extensively before I buy, always check resellerratings.com if I haven't used a store before, just to make sure. I've purchased from them before but thought I would take a minute give them a nice rating because of their great communication e:mails, and fast shipping. I got a confirmation e:mail before my convesation with salesman was finished. Most importanly they do what they say and provide very reasonable shipping costs. Unlike some other etailers, they don't try to make extra money on excessive shipping charges, kudos to them.


WOW! Vann's exceeded my wildest expectations!!Great outfit! I always check for the lowest price before I order photo equipment, but I also always find find the same old "scam" outfits from Brooklyn grouped at the bottom many dollars under all the legit companies. I wind up ordering from a reputable NYC company like B&H, 17th Street or Adorama. Those places you know you can trust. Well, there was Vann's, a company I was not familiar with, but with a "9" rating and only $5.00 more than the "scam" outfit and still $50 to $100 less than the above mentioned NYC stores. Plus they had "free" ground shipping. I decided to take a chance. I ordered a Panasonic FZ10 at 6:15PM EDT on Tuesday. I opted for 2 day air at a reasonable cost of only $16.40 extra. That was less than ground shipping at the scam places. Vann's was FAST! Within 10 minutes, I had received 3 emails; an order confirmation, order approval, and notice of shipping approval! No anoying phone call, ever!! I hoped it would be shipped Wednesday and I'd have it by Friday, but figured on a Monday delivery to be more likely. The next morning, Wednesday, I noticed that at 4:41AM I had received a Fedex shipping notice. It said my camera was to ship on Tuesday. I figured that was a typo since I ordered so late in the day Tuesday. Well, later that day, Wednesday, Fedex attemted delivery! 2 days before the earliest I expected it and only a day after I ordered it via 2 day air! I am very impressed by Vann's and Fedex! I had to leave the signed delivery notice on the door and they re-delivered Thursday. The camera was "Brand New", nicely packaged with USA warranty. What can I say? I got only GOOD SURPRISES from Vann's!! I highly reccomend them as I will definately buy from them again!! Frank in Atlanta

I bought an 'open box' special Samsung DVD player from Vann's in October last year, having checked out this and other ratings lists, and generally getting good reports. It has yet to play one disc. After one week of trying to get it to play, I phoned Vann's, only to be told that I should take it in for repair locally. I did so, it was in the repair shop for seven weeks, I got it back, it was excactly the same as before. I then went on a job which took me away from home for three months. When I returned, I phoned Vann's again. I offered to return the unit (which has NEVER worked) at my own expense, and was willing to settle for a store credit on the original price, in order that I could purchase a new unit from them. After much argument, I was eventually bumped up to a manager, who told me that since the original 14 day return period had expired, I would be charged a 25% restocking fee!! I pointed out that the 14 day period had expired while the unit was in the repair shop for seven weeks at their insistence - they refused to let me return it the first time I phoned within the 14 day period. He asked me if I had any proof of making the phone calls - no I didn't. But I will certainly be keeping records from now on. This is very shabby treatment. They sold me an item which just plain did not work, and they want to charge me to replace it. This is one store I will never be dealing with again


I ordered a Panasonic FZ10k 4MP camera from them Thursday night. 5 Minutes later I had order verification and approval in my mailbox. Friday morning I got a call from Mark explaining that the camera was out of stock "Inventory Problem" but they should get more on Tuesday. Since I needed the camera for this coming weekend I asked if they would upgrade the shipping so it would get here at the original time. Got an email back in about an hour that said they would 2nd Day Air the camera to me as soon as it was in stock. I checked last night and the camera is halfway here, planned to arrive a day before I had originally intended on. They have excellent prices, but they take care of their customers even better. I have absolutely no reservations at all about ordering again from them.

Absolutely the worst company i have dealt with online. I purchased on jan, 21, 2004 4 bose lifestyle 50 systems.($9412.00) they charged my credit card and I was expecting to gte the tracking number soon and order more equipment later once the first ,shipment arrived since it was the first time i ordered online. First they called , emailed and verified EVERYTHING (which is good and i liked this) it was for my protection but as i found out later more for theirs.... Once they knew that i was safe and legitamate they secured the money charged the credit card took my money and did not ship the merchandise. i called and they said that they will ship it out tomorrow, the next day i called and they said it was on hold. then they said they cant ship it but no reason why. I was disconnected and phoned back, they put me on hold and then 41 min later disconnected. I called back and then they said they do not want to sell them, i asked why and they said that they cant, i asked why do you have them online for sale they hung up! then i received a email stating that the purchase will not be shipped today and that i have to call. I called a 6th time and they put me on hold for 20 min (AT LEAST) and then told me they are going to cancel the transaction and that they will refund the money on the credit card. I told them they should not charge my credit card for money in their bank to float their accounts and i wanted the credit that day, they said it would appear on the next bill. they took the $9412 from me and i want the refund NOW!!!!!! I will dispute the charge otheriwse and the manager man told me he doesnt care what i think because they are big enough that what i think is not important. I will make sure this little guy is not pushed around and tell everyone about this company. I have also fouond out that there are alot of bad complaints about vans and that they rigged their rating on other forums to seem good. I will start a new website and post it here later for anyone else that has had these problems .. beware if you are not big you may get swallowed.... DO NOT RECCOMMED VANNS TO ANYONE!


Most enjoyable transaction! I placed an order on line on a Sunday, for a Panasonic DMC-FZ5 camera. The order was processed the next day and shipped out that afternoon by FedEx. Stated delivery date was Thursday. It actually arrived on Wednesday. There was no follow-up calls to pressure me into unwanted accessories, warranties, etc. The product arrived as advertised, with U.S. warranty. No gray market stuff! Placed an order for a sony projection lamp and was expecting it to arrive within a week, ground shipping. On 4/6/2006, I get a call and email from vanns saying my package went to another customer and I may be getting his package. The other customer got his package and my package. Was told my item would ship out next day thru 2 or 3 day shipping. Did not ship until 4/10/06 and it was not thru expedited shipping to make up for their error, but thru ground shipping. Will not be receiving this item until 4/18 as per ups tracking. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE LIES AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Had they told me it would be re-shipped thru ground service, I would have cancelled the order.

Needed a dvd player that could play vcd/svcd/dvd+ and -r. My sister baught the jvc xv-n44 from bj's for 100 with $20 mail in rebate. I really needed a new player because my toshiba sdk611 couldn't play svcd or dvd+r. Went out looking on vcdquality.com for ratings on players, saw that the player she had was rated well and it also showed vanns.com as the place where many baught theirs. Checked here and was amazed to see they had a 10.0 in the last 6months. They no longer had the player in stock but did have it as a clearance item. Said it was in good shape only the retail box was a bit damaged. Took a chance ordered it on 8/19 got it today 8/25 via fedex ground. Paid 65 for the player $50 and 3 year replacement warreny for $15. Didn't want to take a chance since it was returned. So far put in 4 dvd+rs plays them great, very happy and will do business with them again if they have something i need.

I was mad for a second, then they offered me a free upgrade to the HP-R5053 model, which just made me madder (cuz i dont like that one). Then they also said they could send me the HP-R5072 model, which I loved, and that was that. They told me on the phone it would be there the next friday (7 days), but once I got the tracking info it was scheduled for monday...which I kind of expected for free ground shipping from montana to nyc. Sure enough, this morning it came, I set it up no problem, and its awesome. Also, they had a deal for a free remote control or wall mount, either of which worth $130. They ran out of wall mounts, but i didnt want the crazy universal remote control. They said they could send me the wall mount when it becomes available, or I can get something else for that price. I ended up getting a Sony DVD player with HDMI output for free AND it had free shipping. Man these guys are awesome and trustworthy.

Some of the other internet stores were listing this camera as in stock but it was actually on backorder. So I was a little uneasy about having a long wait. This is my second review of Vann�s and it concerns the purchase of a Panasonic PV-GS400 Digital Camcorder. I ordered the special package deal that included the GS400 along with a camera bag Lowe Pro TX-300, a spare battery pack and a package of 6 recording tapes. The on-line ordering process went flawlessly. I was sent email about the order and was kept abreast about the different stages of the mailing/packaging process. The order arrived at my house in good condition, but as with my last order, the actual packaging was nothing to brag about. The original camcorder box was placed in a slightly larger box and the other items were placed inside. There was no packing material used and in my opinion, not acceptable for shipping. BUT, as in my first package (DVD Player), everything came through undamaged! The camera is great�just a super picture. The Lowe Pro TX-300 is too small of a bag for the GS400 to fit into. Once again, the GS400 is too big to fit in the Lowe Pro TX-300. I called Vann�s and got a replacement for the TX-300, a TX-400 which the camera fits very well into. So, if you get the �Special�, make sure they upgrade the TX-300 to the TX-400. Vann�s gave me no grief about the switch either, in fact, they gave me the TX-400 at no additional cost! But I see on their website that the special still consists of the TX-300�.I told them about the size problem too�.oh well, now YOU know. Another �Perfect� on my scale. I will purchase from Vann�s again.

I bought from Vanns a Mirage subwoofer and a pair of Mirage Omisats for surround and everything went without any problems: items as described and fast (free) shipping. The fact that they have a clearance section where they sell returns as open-box items should give buyers confidence that the items they get are factory fresh. A great place to buy A/V stuff.


I purchased an iPod Shuffle on 12/1/06, and received it yesterday. The packaging of the product is scratched so bad, it looks like it was in contact with sandpaper. I contacted customer support and they said they don't guarantee product packaging from damage in shipment. Poor response. And secondly, the product as a HUGE yellow tracking sticker that completely covers the back of the package. This was to suppose to be a gift. Beware!


I originally wanted to buy at Onecall but the item I wanted was out of stock so I decided to try Vann's based on positive reviews at dpreview.com I was not disappointed. The customer service was very good and my items arrived on time and in perfect condition. I would buy from them again. I think it's cool that their operation is in a little town in Montana.

Ordered battery on 1/13. Received order confirmation, order delivery, and UPS tracking info emails. Got a call on 1/14, that no, sorry, that's not in stock. "All we can do is refund the card." What a bunch of baloney. Seen reviews similar to this. I'll be shopping elsewhere in the future.

I was looking for a product and found Vanns web site indicating that they have a Competitive Price Match. I filled out the form with all the information from the other source as requested. There reply was "I'm sorry we cannot match that price. The site you listed below is not a authorized dealer for the product you are looking at" The company is a authorized dealer. It seems that the price was too low to match. Look elsewhere you can find a better price for the products other then buying it at Vanns

I purchased a Sony DCR-TRV950 digital camcorder totally on-line (no phone calls) and quickly received four follow-up emails providing order status! Ordered a set of Harmon-Kardon speakers from Vanns via amazon.com. Vanns shipped speakers in the original factory box without additional packing. When box arrived via FEDEX on February 21, it was open and packing was hanging out. I refused delivery because of damage. A subsequent call to Vanns, they reported that they were "out of stock". I asked for a refund -that was February 22 - and was promised a refund. No refund has been forthcoming. I filed for Amazon.com's great "a to z" refund as soon as I could, which was February 28. To date, I have no refund and no speakers. Amazon.com posted today, on their web site, a refund MINUS SHIPPING, so they're charging me for shipping for something inadequately packed? And NO refund has posted to my credit card account yet. I will dispute it to the bank today.


I have purchased several item at Vanns( two Panasonic cameras and a Panasonic dvd player) and have always received really good service, prompt answer to emails and great back up service. I will shop here again whenever the opportunity permits because of their competitive pricing and professional attitude. They are not located in a big city and have a really nice attitude towards customers.


Very, very satisfied. I called www.vanns.com to place an order for Panasonic DMC FZ1K digital camera on 30th Mar. The sales associate was very cheerful, polite and knowledgeable. There was no high pressure selling for any accessories. He did ask me whether I am interested in spare battery and/or memory card but he accepted my �NO� and quickly processed my order. Immediately after this, I received 3 emails in a row (within 15 minutes, first one giving me the complete order details, second one about order acceptance and credit approval and third one for shipping approval. In the mean time I came to know that the same camera is being offered for $15 less at some other Internet shop. I vanns for a price match and they instantly agreed to it. Within 10 minutes I got an email from vanns confirming a refund of $15! By evening I got my UPS Ground tracking number also. I received my camera on 2 April that is within 72 hours! Everything was in perfect shape and condition, very good packaging. Clear-cut invoice with camera serial number mentioned. And needless to say the camera was brand new, factory sealed, with full USA warranty. I am extremely happy with this purchase. Ordered a Kenwood Home Theater system (HTB 544). It was delivered on time. However, one of the speaker was found damaged after unpacking. They emailed me a pre-paid UPS label on the same day I reported to them. After shipping the speaker back to them, I waited three weeks and it's a resasonable turnaround time considering they don't have it on stock. I think VANNS offers pretty good pricing and they are very responsive. I will do business with them again when there are some good deals I need.


Good experience. I ordered a Sony RDR-GX7 DVD Recorder through Amazon, which routed me to Vanns for the cheapest price. They do charge shipping, but it was only $8 for standard, so the total price was still good and it arrived in two days. Everything inside was as expected, and no problems with the recorder yet. I used the Amazon website for ordering (which meant I got to use my Amazon gift certificate and get bonus points to my Amazon credit card), but all the subsequent shipping e-mails were from Vanns directly.


The Panasonic digital camera DMC-FX7K (black finish) is more popular than the silver model. As a result, most sites did not catalog this model or it was out of stock or they charged more for it than the silver model. After much searching, this company had the exact model I was looking for at a reasonable price. Ordered on-line on Monday. Received the camera the following Monday with free shipping. It was the exact hard to find model with the black finish. A great camera btw. I have purchased a Home Theater and a set of speakers stands was included with them. Free shipping surely helped as the HTIB box was huge - I mean... fridge size. Tried to purchase a Canon ZR-85 camcorder. Reviewed pricing on their website and also called their 800 number to confirm that the camcorder was in stock and the pricing was correct. Sales rep confirmed pricing of $289.88 and the camcorder was in stock. They charged my credit card, sent me a confirmation email that my order was approved, a confirmation order that shipping was approved and even sent me a fedex tracking number that my order was ready to ship. I then recieved an email that said they could not sell me this camcorder for the agreed to price of $289.88. This price was supposedly $70 below their cost. I called the sales rep and he said it was a mistake on their web site. Today I bought the same camcorder on line from e-tailor Digital 1234 for $299.98. I'll never buy or recommend VANNS to anyone. They should have honored their agreement.


My girlfriend and I bought our first big screen TV from Vanns. I was skeptical at first because of the fact it was located in Montana, and offered Free shipping on a TV that was already priced much lower then any other merchant. But boy oh boy I cannot say enough positive things about Vanns. I forgot to give them my apartment number when I placed the order, getting back in touch with them was cake! No being transfered a million times, and the people were extremly friendly. TV arrived a day earlier then posted to my apartment in Downtown Chicago! I ordered a Panasonic portable DVD player. They had the best price, and as a first time customer, I used a discount coupon from their website. They kept me fully informed from the inception to the final shipping of the player. Package came on time, very well wrapped, and works fine. I spoke to them on the phone to confirm that the player was in stock as noted on their website, and it was.I then ordered a few days ago an extra battery and a case. I found the battery much cheaper at a few other websites. Vanns wants you to give them an opportunity to meet or beat a better deal. I submitted the cost that I found, which was $50 cheaper, and within a few minutes they responded that they would meet the price, and they discounted the carrying case too, which surprised me. I would most definitely do business with them again.


I ordered the Panasonic FZ50. While Vann's was not the lowest price, they had very good ratings on this site. Where as the others who priced significantly below Vann's would fall into the "to good to be true" category based on user comments from this site. Small mix-up with my e-mail id (".com" vs ".net) prevented me from getting an order confirmation, but that was quickly resolved with one phone call. Only negative would be the shipping time coming from Montana versus the east coast when shipping to Michigan. But an extra day or two is worth dealing with a reliable company. Order also included a free 256 SD memory card which was an added bonus. I would order from them again. As far as the camera goes - arrive in good shape and as soon as I figure out the 140 page manual of instructions, I think I will be very pleased.

I ordered early in the morning on Tuesday the 7th. On Wednesday they called my phone and I missed their call. Realizing this on Wednesday night I called. I was told they needed a landline phone number and put the order on hold. A lot of people nowadays are cell only but I gave them a different number and they were satisfied. I ordered with 2 Day shipping on the 7th (Tuesday) and it will not arrive until the 13th (Monday). I paid over $14 for 4 day shipping (weekend in there). I am a little upset with this.


Original order went well, processed quickly and was received quickly. Unfortunately, the item was defective. It took 3 e-mails and 4 phone calls (Greg, then Greg, then Jen, then Jamie) before we finally received the RMA # and return label from the company. On the last call we were told they would put a replacement camera on hold for our return. Our returned item was received by Vanns.com and signed for on 12/15. On 1/11/05 I called to see what the status of the exchange was and I was given the run around. First they said it had shipped - then they called me back to tell me it hadn't but they'd ship it that day. They said the item had been out of stock (what happened to the one on hold?) Finally (almost 2 months after the original order) we received a working camera - but they sent the WRONG CAMERA! We will not do business with this company again.


I have purchased a dvd player and was happy with the serivce and price. I am now looking for a home theater surround sound system. I have found the system from various dealers. Vann's is not the lowest price but since I have done business with them I wanted to give them the chance to get my business back by using their price matching. I e-mailed requesting a price match. I was told the dealer I was referencing was not an authorized dealer and I wouldn't get the warranty with the item and therefore they would not match the price. They are correct in that the dealer is not an authorized distributor but they buy through another distributor who is and the full factory warranty is indeed included. I said ok and sent them two other price quotes that were lower than Vann's (not quite a low a th the first one I submitted) and both of them were from authorized dealers. I got a very short response back that simply said. "The price that is on our website will be the lowest price that we can offer at this time!" So guess what, they lost my business. The item was $35 more at Vanns than the highest of the 3 quotes I asked them to match and when we are talking about a $350 item that is 10% and worth going elsewhere for.

I purchased a LowePro TX400 camera bag via an auction on eBay. After I won the auction, I had to call up in order to make my payment via credit card. I was a little disappointed since right after I won the auction a new one appeared for the same item as a BuyItNow for about $5 less than I was paying for mine. I mentioned this to the customer service rep and he replied that I was still getting the bag for more than 50% off. I have to admit that he was right and that is how eBay works. The rep took my info and within 30 minutes I had an e-mail confirmation of my order. I noticed that there was a typo in my address and called back to have it corrected. Within 15 minutes, I had a new e-mail confirmation with the correct information. I received a tracking number via e-mail and the bag was delivered on-time. Overall, a very good process. I just wish that they would accept PayPal (would make payments easier).

The good part: I bought a Panasonic TH-50PX60U 50" plasma TV from them. Ordered Friday, was delivered the next Monday by USF Reddaway. Showed up in fine condition with no damage to the box or contents. The problems: I ordered early in the morning so I got a "shipped" email from Vanns before 10am. No tracking number was included, but the email said the I would get an email with the tracking info "usually within 24 hours of receiving this email" come Monday morning I still had not received my tracking info, so I called Vanns, NO PROBLEM GETTING THROUGH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE which was nice, but the person I talked to said that they would email the tracking info that day. A few days before I ordered I called Vanns (to see if I could actually get a human on the phone) got through instantly. I asked how long it would take to ship the TV I was going to order, they said 2-3 days. By 1:30pm PDT, I still had not received my tracking info, so I called again. They informed me that No I didn't receive it (thanks) because they didn't receive it (consider the ball dropped). So she got my tracking number. I hung up, and tracked my order, I am at work, an hour away from home. IT WAS ARIVING THAT DAY!!! (Monday), well that's great but I am an hour away, and was told I could expect it Tuesday or Wednesday, so nobody was home. Called Vanns back, they were a bit snippy, making excuses, but were still helpful, said they would call me back with more info. about 20 minutes later they called and said it would be at my house at 3pm, by now it was 2:10, so I had to rush out of work and get home. Got there in time to take delivery. So everything did work out, but I believe it should have gone much smoother. When I first called Monday I was told there was only one person that could give me the tracking number, bad idea. Vanns misinformed me of when to expect my TV, and never (still haven't) sent me my tracking info like they said they would. All these problems were mostly mitigated by the ease of access to their customer service, and their effort to help, which at that point is what I expected. I can't, in good conscience, rate them with a "Very Satisfied" because it was VERY frustrating, but if you stay on top of the shipping issues, you should have no problem. I have also ordered a DVD player from them in the past, with no problems.


Found Vann's through CNet. Great pricing, able to speak to nice salesperson (Ron) and terrific shipping. Vann's is one of those gems that we are fortunate enough to find (as most of us are sick and tired of trying to deal with Worst Buy and Circuitless City). I bought a set of refurbished Klipsch Pro Media 4.1 computer speakers. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time, no problems with the packaging or any missing components. The speakers, however did have problems that warrented sending the item back. I called for an RMA number, returned the package, and got my money back. All in all, the whole transaction went off without incident. They CS people will answer any questions you have.

This is a sold company. I order three Sony FX1's from them one new one restock, which was in perfect condition. I order a third camera had problem with my card company they held the order tell I got it cleared up. That was cool sense it was the last one in stock. All shipped for free and packed perfectly. Purchase of Onkyo HomeTheatre system that was open box went smoothly. I purchased the extended warrantly just in case. The receiver started popping and smoking almost immediately, and after being bounced around to several departments, I find I have to get it repaired by Onkyo. Their warranty doesn't kick in til after the manufacturer's ends. (The extended warranty isn't even through Vann's, and their customer service was worthless. She had never even heard of Onkyo, and it was utterly beyond her to look them up.) This is normal, but very annoying because the manufacturer is invariably less flexible, more costly, and more time consuming. I have to drive it to a service location and it'll be a month before I have it back at the soonest.


I always complain about bad service, but seldom take the time to say something good, so..... I ordered a HarmonKardon 525 from Vanns. It arrived undamaged, well packed, on time and at the exact price I was quoted. No bait n switch or BS sales gimmicks. There shipping cost was a little high but the overall price was the best I could find. So far so good with Vanns, via Amazon.com.
