There are three basic styles of dive watches:
*scuba diving. It's not very hard to find a good digital dive watch for a relatively inexpensive price.
*jewelry.
*Computer dive watches are expensive because of the complexity of the technology.
Features
Most of the dive watches that are available in the market today have these common features:
* Elapsed time functions. Some analog watches have a bezel that you can rotate so you can read the elapsed time.
* Depth indicator. For scuba diving use, a dive watch has to have a minimum of 200 meters depth rating.
* Can withstand great pressure.
* Designed to be visible in low light and dark areas. Some watches have an illuminator which is designed to be visible especially in the deepest part of the water.
